Having found a love for theater at a young age, Ravenscroft had acted in 25 performances by the age of 18, including at the TheatreLab, where she grew up in Washington, D.C. Before she graduated from high school, she sang in the Kennedy Center Honors Hamilton Tribute, featuring Christopher Jackson & Lin-Manuel Miranda. Within that same year, Julia was a finalist in the DC CAPital Stars competition, earning $2,000 towards college tuition and a solo performance at the Kennedy Center, where she sang “Don’t Rain on my Parade” for judges such as Denyce Graves. In 2019, she moved to Chicago where she trained at Columbia College Chicago, earning an acting BFA and a playwriting minor. During college, she had the opportunity to study at the University of Greenwich in their drama studies program. In 2023, she can be seen singing “Take Me or Leave Me” in Idina Menzel’s documentary Which way to the stage?
